The experience

Four things, one flow.

Linea is built for how you actually work with AI: several agents at once, simple conversations, visible changes, and quick edits — without leaving the terminal.

Organize many terminals

Split, move and group panes per project. Each agent keeps its own space so five sessions stay readable instead of a pile of tabs.

Talk to the AI simply

Your usual agents, in a real shell. Type, approve, steer — and see at a glance which one is working, waiting on you, or done.

See every change

Live +/− counts, the real diff, and the branch's pull request beside the pane. Read what the agent wrote before it ships.

Mini IDE for quick fixes

Open the file, tweak the line, save — next to the terminal. No alt-tab to another editor for the small stuff.

Many terminals, no chaos

Talk to every agent.
Know which one needs you.

Run Claude, Codex, Grok and the rest side by side. Each pane is a conversation you can follow — status lights tell you who's running, who's blocked, and who's finished.

Working / needs you / done

Each pane shows what its agent is doing: running, waiting for your permission or reply, finished, or failed — so you answer the right one first.

Projects that stay warm

Workspaces group terminals by project. Come back later and pick up the thread — no re-explaining, no hunting for the right window.

Split, move, detach

Arrange panes how you think. Detach one to its own window and the agent keeps running — sessions outlive the layout.

See the changes

Don't trust the summary.
Read the diff.

Every agent leaves a trail. Linea puts branch, line counts and the pull request next to the terminal so review is part of the loop — not a separate app.

Live change radar

Branch and +/− counts sit on every workspace and pane, so you watch the footprint grow as the agent works.

The PR in a pane

Open the branch's pull request beside your shell: readable diffs, the conversation, and checks at a glance.

Comment without leaving

Reply on the thread or on the exact line. Create the PR from here too — review stays in the same place as the agent.

Mini IDE

Quick changes,
right where you are.

When the agent is almost right, you shouldn't open another tool. Linea's mini IDE sits next to the terminal for the fixes that take seconds, not a full IDE session.

Mini IDE

See it. Tweak it. Ship it.

Open the file the agent just touched, fix a line, rename a symbol — without switching apps. Find & replace, go to line, autocomplete and go-to-definition when you need them. A mini IDE next to the terminal, not a second window.

Files

The tree follows every terminal

Each pane has its own working directory — cd and the sidebar is already there. Jump between projects, open files from any worktree, stay oriented while several agents run.

Syntax highlighting out of the box for TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Rust, Go, HTML, CSS, JSON, Markdown and Shell — plus TypeScript smarts when the project has them. No extension shopping.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Which AI tools work with Linea?

Any CLI agent you already use — Claude Code, Codex, opencode, Grok, Gemini CLI, aider, or whatever you run next week. Same commands, same sessions; Linea is the place you organize, talk, review and edit.

What makes Linea different from a normal terminal?

You can run many terminals at once without chaos: each agent keeps its pane and status, you see every change as a diff, and a mini IDE lets you fix things on the spot — talk, review and edit without juggling windows.

Does Linea charge for AI usage or route my tokens?

No. Your agents talk to your own providers with your own keys. You pay Linea for the workspace, not for tokens.

Is it really zero configuration?

Yes. Syntax highlighting ships built in, TypeScript projects get smarts automatically, and agent status hooks install with one click. No extensions hunt, no per-project setup.

Does the same app run on macOS, Windows and Linux?

Yes — same way to run agents, see diffs and edit files on every desktop.

Is the Windows installer signed?

Not yet — SmartScreen may warn on first run (choose “More info → Run anyway”). Every release ships with its SHA-256 so you can verify what you downloaded, and updates are signed end-to-end by the built-in updater.

Can I keep my shell and dotfiles?

Of course. Linea runs your shell — zsh, bash, fish, PowerShell — with your existing setup. It replaces the window juggling, not your tools.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes — one click in the Stripe customer portal, and the 14-day trial is the full product. You keep Pro until the end of the paid year. Your projects and files are never touched.

Many agents. One calm workspace.
